  • Lawn Aeration is done to treat compacted soil. This loosens and opens up the soil by punching holes allowing water and nutrients to penetrate the soil. This is also done by customers prior to applying fertilizer to optimize the treatment.
  • Lawn De-thatching is done to remove compacted dead grass and debris that creates a barrier between your grass and the soil. This thick mat inhibits the health and growth of your lawn by preventing  water and air to reach the roots. It can also create an environment for pests and disease. How do you know you need this done? You can see and feel this layer on your own when you reach your fingers down to the base of the grass. If it is 1/4 -1/2 inch or thicker, you need to get it done. Yearly is optimal but every few years is very helpful also. This should be addressed prior to applying fertilizer.
